What is the fix for the error while splitting a transaction: "An unexpected error occurred while accepting your downloaded transaction."

Welcome to Community!  Receiving a notification while splitting transactions, can definitely have an impact on your books.  QuickBooks Online enables you to upload your transactions effortlessly, so your accounts remain accurate and aligned.  I would be glad to assist!

 

If you haven't done so already, clear the cache on your browser. I also suggest opening your QuickBooks Online account using another browser such as Firefox, Edge, Google Chrome, Safari, or a private browser, using one of these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If you see the same error message, please ensure that you are entering a category for the split transactions.
