Hello pentictonishome,

Don't worry! I'm here to help you sort this out what's going on. QuickBooks Online is designed to make your workflow move as seamlessly as possible, such as auto-populating information from your previous transaction on a the next one your create. This is set up by default, but luckily, the program also gives you control over whether you'd like to use this feature or not. Follow these steps to turn it off.

  1. Select the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Account and Settings.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Click the Automation section or the small pencil icon to the right of that section to edit.
  5. Uncheck the box Pre-fill forms with previously entered content.
  6. Click Save.

Once you've done that, the program won't pull information from a previous transaction to make a new one when you choose who it's associated with.

Give it a shot and let me know if you have further questions. I hope you have a great weekend!
