When I ask the QB community a question and someone replies, I cannot respond to them. I keep getting an "Authentication error"

My apologies to @Fiat Lux - ASIA for not being to respond to your other comments. For some reason it will not allow me to respond to you and I am assuming I will not be able to respond to anyone who tries to help me with this problem. It keeps giving me an authentication error after I hit the reply button.

We wanted to make sure you're able to get the help that you need from us, @Lagotchi.

With this, I want to gather more information about the problem. I want to check the current browser you're using and if you have tried other browsers or a private window when accessing the community page. Also, you may want to attach your concern in your reply including the troubleshooting you've tried.

If you're unable to reply to this post, just mention me on a new post, so I'd get notified of your response.

In the meantime, I would recommend trying a private browser and see if it allows you to post without the error. Unexpected issues in QuickBooks sites are sometimes affected by the amount of data stored in the cache. This is because a regular browser will constantly overwrite itself and will not remove history unless done manually.

Private browsing will not save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window and login to your community profile:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

If it works, clear the cache to resolve browser issues in QBO. Using a different browser can also help.

We appreciate your patience with this concern. We will wait for your reply. I'll be right here to help you any time.
