Question

When I connected my bank account today some of the transactions downloaded were already categorized. Why are they re-appearing in transactions for review.

If I process them again they are appearing twice in the expense accounts.  Deposits have already been matched and cleared to sales invoices

Welcome to Community!  It's great to hear that you've linked your bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.  However, it is rather concerning that your transactions appear twice.  I would be glad to assist!

 

It's important to confirm if duplicate transactions have been previously downloaded, and how this can be prevented moving forward. I suggest taking a look at your bank statement on your bank's website, to review possible duplicate transactions there. If the statement indicates duplicate transactions, your automatic upload to QuickBooks was accurate and aligned with your bank. However, if no duplicates are found, you'll want to remove the duplicate entries from your bank feed in QuickBooks Online.  Here's how;

 

1. From the Review tab, checkmark the box beside all duplicated entries

2. Select Exclude 

Note: You can permanently delete the transactions from the Excluded tab by selecting all items and then hit Delete.  Please be advised that this process is irreversible and any transactions deleted in error will need to be recreated manually.
