Question

When importing customers from a CSV file, the Name is a required field. What if I only want to use the Company field? Many clients don't have a specific contact name.

Leaving the Name field blank results in an import error.

DisplayName should be the one and only mandatory field

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of using TransactionPro. Unless I'm missing something, QBO appears to require the Name field, which eventually ends up in First Name ... Last Name. See attached screen capture.

Hi there. I can see the need for having the flexibility to not include the Name filed. Since this feature isn't available, I encourage you to send feedback to our product developers. You can do this by clicking the Gear icon and looking for Feedback. New product ideas and improvements are largely based on the valuable feedback we get from users like you.
