Hi jhogan590,

Thanks for reaching out to us here.  The QuickBooks Web Connector is a Microsoft Windows application that enables web-based applications to exchange data with QuickBooks Desktop products.  The Web Connector gives you one place to set up and manage your connected apps.

Before installing the Web Connector, it's important to note the following;

  • Web connector can only be installed where the file is locally saved.
  • Contact the third party for the recommended version of Web connector.
  • If no .qwc file is saved locally contact the third party to download.

To install Web Connector, you'll need to close QuickBooks Desktop completely.  Then proceed to the Intuit Developer site and download the latest Web Connector version.  For detailed installation instructions, click here.  Once you've set up the QuickBooks Web Connector, and have your .qwc file from your third-party web app, you can connect it to QuickBooks.

Should you require additional assistance, please don't hesitate to contact our QuickBooks Desktop specialists at 1-833-317-2226, Mon-Fri: 9am-8pm ET. They will be happy to work with you in real-time, and ensure you're able to accomplish your QuickBooks goals as soon as possible!

If any other questions mind, feel free to touch base with us again. We would be glad to assist!
