Why aren't my recurring transaction templates automatically updated with NEW address information whenever a customer's mail address changes?

Why aren't my recurring transaction templates automatically updated with NEW address information whenever a customer's mail address changes? This is a relatively simple task but QBO seems to not be able to handle it.

Welcome back to Community!  With QuickBooks Online, the recurring transactions feature is a great timesaver.  If you've updated your customers email address and it's not being applied, this may be associated with a couple of underlying factors.  I'd be happy to assist you with this!

 

You can edit your customers email address from the contact section of the new sidebar that opens when you go to >Customers > select the Name > click on Edit.  Or you may also make the change directly on the recurring form.  

 

If you edit a customer that's associated with a recurring template, you'd get a notification pop-up to save the changes for the current transaction you've made the change on, or an option to update all, so it'd be applied to all relevant templates.  If you've selected one time only, this could be why it didn't update future transactions.

 

I'd recommend clearing cache on your browser, then login using private or incognito mode. Follow the steps for editing the recurring template, found in this article.
