Why does Quickbooks accept the company name change, but not the legal name change. What am I missing?

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online simplifies making the necessary changes to your Company information.  I'd be glad to assist!

 The legal name of your company is used to communicate with the Canada Revenue Agency.  When you enter the legal name is automatically sets it as your Company name, if you've left this area blank.  Here's a helpful guide for your reference, to assist with making changes to your company name and business number.

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?) Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > enter "Contact support" > hit Contact Us > provide a brief summary of your situation > hit Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
