Why has quickbooks changed the tax from Exempt to HST on fully paid past invoices for a whole month (August)?

Why has quickbooks changed the tax category on Tax Exempt past invoices for a whole month. Now those invoices are showing a balance. Going by the audit trail in QB it looks like something happened with month end reco or tax calculation. Not sure what. Please help. Thanks in advance
