Why is there no option to track boat mileage?

My boyfriend has a lobster fishing business and he travels far for work so I like that we can track his mileage. But he also travels a lot on the ocean so I wish I had the option to track that as well. Am I missing something? When I go to add a vehicle the only option there is for a car.

It's vital that all your information is entered correctly so that your books can be well balanced. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you keep track of your mileage so that you can see the usage of your vehicle. I can provide some information about mileage tracking.

 

The mileage feature in QuickBooks Online is meant to be used with road vehicles so you can keep track of personal and business use of this mode of transportation, so there isn't the option to add a boat as a category of vehicle. I can see how this would be a feature you'd like to keep track of the ocean trips done in the boat. I recommend leaving feedback in the system by clicking on the Gear icon, then Feedback. The comments made in that section are taken into consideration when our developers design new features for QuickBooks Online.
