Adding a User

I'll give details about the error your user encountered when accepting your invitation, treasurer.

We have a reported issue where users encounter the error Wrong Link when accepting access invitations from QuickBooks Online (QBO). Please be assured that our engineers are already aware of this and are currently working to resolve this problem.

This error may be caused by an email limitation that restricts URLs to a specific length. Older versions of Microsoft Outlook can only handle 2087 characters, cutting off the end of the URL. As a workaround, we recommend that new users accept the invite from a mobile device or a web browser. Here's how:

1. Go to outlook.office.com or the user's domain.
2. Enter the email address and password for their account.
3. Select Sign in.
4. Once the user has an email open in a web browser, resend the invite and let them accept it.

In keeping with this, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team to add your account to the list of affected users. This ensures you're in the loop about the investigation's status and its fix. To do this, here's how:

1. In your QuickBooks Online company, select (?) Help.
2. Select either the Assistant or Search tab to get started.
3. Assistant: Get quick, personalised answers. Select a suggested option, or type a question or topic you need help with. If you decide you need further help, you can still chat with a human.
4. Search: Type a question, keyword, or topic for QuickBooks Online self-help content or select Contact Us, type a question, and Continue. Choose the Start a chat option to connect with one of our QuickBooks support online.
