Am using QuickBooks plus and i wan to edit one role of the users. No place or access for Admin to change or edit old user roles

Before anything else, know we're thankful you've allowed us to help you with your current situation. We in the Community space aim to provide concise information to help our customers with their queries. Can you tell us what user role you're trying to modify? Is the old user a primary admin or a standard user?

 

Please know that if you're trying to modify a primary admin and your current role and access rights fall in the category of an admin, the option to do so is not available. You can only edit user roles for standard users inside QuickBooks Online (QBO). If you're the primary admin of the company file, here's how you can edit a user's current role inside your company file:

 

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to the Gear icon, and select Manage users.
  3. Find the user you want to edit, then select Edit in the Action column.
  • You can change the user role from the Roles ▼ dropdown.
  • Select the user settings you want to manage, if applicable.

       4. Click Save.

       5. Ask the user to sign out and sign in again to QuickBooks Online to see the updates.
