Question

balance sheet

Good morning,

With QB desktop we could arrange the accounts in the balance sheet, at the top the cash then the debtors and the other assets. With QB online I can't do that. The balance sheet always begins with accounts receivable.

Anyone have a solution ?

Thanks

We strive to provide the best product experience possible, BF1962.

I understand how important it is for your company to rearrange the account in the Balance sheet report. However, this option is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). We see consumer feedback as an opportunity to improve the numerous features of our products. I'd recommend giving our engineers direct feedback. They may look into this suggestion and incorporate it into future updates. Let me demonstrate:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Hit Feedback.
  3. Type in your recommendation in the Share your feedback field.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

I've attached screenshots below for your reference:

Furthermore, you can visit his page to stay up to date on the latest software improvements and enhancements with QBO: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online. Alternatively, you can export your reports to Microsoft Excel and modify it to come up with the data you need.

You'll want to check also for a third-party application that can help you with assigning products to inventory categories in bulk. Check out this link for a list of QuickBooks-compatible apps: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/. We can also do it in QBO by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Apps on the left side menu.
  2. Search for the app in the Find apps to streamline your work field.
  3. Look for an app that supports the Batch feature.

Any questions about integrating the app into your Online account should be directed to the app's third-party provider. Let me also share this article that can guide you on how to save the current settings of your report and export it outside QBO: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

Do you have other questions about your reports in QBO? Please let me know in your reply. You're always welcome to share them with me. Keep safe!
