I have Mac Plus '22 and want to downgrade. I've been backing up to a Windows file so I can use it on a Windows PC occasionally. Will I still be able to do that with the downgraded version? Thanks.

I'm here to share information about downgrading your Mac 2022 Plus that could help you.

Upgrading QuickBooks company files is irreversible. Thus, downgrading isn't possible. If you want to revert your file to a later version, you may consider looking for a third-party app that lets you do so. You can upgrade your file from an older to a newer version of QuickBooks, but the upgraded file cannot be used in the older version.

Additional information, another region's QuickBooks Desktop version cannot open a company file. For instance, if you attempt to open a company file created in a QuickBooks of another country version using QuickBooks in your country, you will receive a message like this example, "This file was not created with a US version of QuickBooks."

You can go over our QuickBooks Help Articles for other available resources you can use in the future.
