Question

Hi, I run an agriculture warehouse. We charge rent for the duration for which products are stored. How can we integrate inventory management in the same interface?

Hello, @usermgtraderskerakat.

The inventory feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is designed to buy and sell inventory items. There's a bundle item that allows you to list several items in it and use it when creating invoices and sales receipts.

At this time, you can open the Inventory Valuation report to know the date when it was recorded and manually calculate the duration. Since inventory doesn't have a duration counter in which you'll know how many days or weeks it's been received.

Here's how:

  1. Open your QBO account, then click on Reports at the left pane and look for Inventory Valuation Detail or Summary.
  2. Click it to open.
  3. Filter the date and make the necessary customization and tap on Run report to refresh the page.

For additional reference about running and customizing reports in QBO, check out this article.

This link also contains information about how to manage your inventory, you can read the details in here for your guide.

I've got your back if you have any other QuickBooks questions. Just mention my name in the comment section below. Keep safe, @usermgtraderskerakat!
