How to record customer draw from deposit? I followed the guide on how to record customer deposits, but the guide only covers how to record as revenue, not direct withdraw

The cash memo option does not allow setting up negative numbers in the product and services line. Please let me know if you have a good way to record customers drawing amounts from their previous deposits. Thank you

Hi there, pranay-agiledevg. 

 

I'm here to help you record customers drawing amounts from their previous deposits in QuickBooks Online. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to +New. 
  2. Select Refund Receipt to open a new refund receipt.
  3. In the refund receipt window, choose a customer from the drop-down suggestions menu.
  4. Select a Payment Method.
  5. Choose an Account.
  6. Select the Product or Service for Refund.
  7. Hit Save and Close.
