Hi, Can 2 US QuickBooks licenses be used to maintain one for posting US books and another for Non-US (Asian countries) posting books? How does multi currency is address along other country specific statutory compliance wrt to taxes.  Please suggest pros and cons along with any risks. Also does Migration of such books from other accounting software to be handled?

You can use QBO US version or QBO Global version to convert data from India version. You may need to enable the multicurrency feature and set INR as your home currency.

You may have 2 ways to migrate your data:

1. Utilize a migration tool

2. Purchase a 3rd party conversion service.

Hi,

We are currently using QBO India version and looking to migrate our data.  You reply seems to indicate that we can move the data to a US version of QBO (with home currency INR and multicurrency enabled).  However, how would GST be handled?

Our situation is that the company that we need to migrate the data for is being dissolved after March 31 2023.  However, we will still need to make some transactions over the next few months and also need access to the data via QBO for regulatory and record-keeping purposes.

We are also trying to migrate to Zoho Books, but running into issues.

Thank you for your help!

@b0bm

I would recommend to pick QBO Global version than US version. The tax setting is more adaptable to your needs.

You can purchase a 3rd party conversion service but your time is very limited. Anyway, what kind of issue with Zoho Books? Did you purchase any conversion service to assist you?
