Hello,

Our Company had been using QB 2013 Desktop for many years, we would like to upgrade this old version to QB Enterprise 24.0 Platinum.

The system was being installed in our France's office server and desktop since 2013 till now.

Kindly advise how can we go about it.

Thank you

Welcome to the Community, Sam.

Before we proceed, could you please tell me which version of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) you are using?

To upgrade your QBDT to the newest version, the steps are outlined below. Please know that when a new version of QuickBooks is released, you'll receive a notification when you open the software.

  1. When you’re ready, tap Upgrade Now.
  2. If you wish to keep your current version of QuickBooks, select Keep old version on my computer
  3. Select Keep old version on my computer if you want to keep your current QuickBooks. Click Let’s go. QuickBooks downloads, installs, and activates the new version for you. It updates your company file(s).
  4.  Once the upgrade is complete, select Open QuickBooks to get started with the updated version.

For a detailed steps, you can scan this article: Upgrade QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, or Enterprise.

However, if you are using QBDT France region, you'll want to consider looking for a third-party app to make it compatible with the US region

If you have further concerns about QBDT, please do not hesitate to revisit this forum. We are always ready to assist you.

Hello Louise,

I believe the one I am using is for US region, just that it had been installed in our France's office. ( I hope I am right about it)

Can you enlighten me on how to go about it for the upgrade.

Thank you

Open your company file. What tax terminology have you encountered? Is it Sales Tax, VAT, or GST?
