Question

Reenrolling and starting from zero

To whom this may concern. I have been trying to start my account from $0. Some of the info transferred from my bank didn't transferred correctly. I have tried to purge but it did not let me. I see that the next option is to cancel and reenroll. I tried to chat with the help department but Wayne was useless to my needs. If I cancel and reenroll will I be charged again? I am very disappointed in the help I got today trying to get an answer to my question.

Thank you for posting here in the Community, @GN11.

I can provide you with some information about purging your data and creating a new account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can choose to delete your current account and then start over if it's less than 90 days. If it’s already beyond 90 days, then I suggest canceling your old account and creating a new one. It'll be automatically deleted a year after you’ve canceled it.

If you're going to cancel your current account, you'll no longer be charged for the monthly subscription for this one. Yes, you're right! You'll be charged a monthly subscription for this new account.

Follow the steps below on how to cancel and start a new account in QBO.

To cancel your account:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Billing and subscription tab.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel.
  4. Follow the steps to cancel your account.

To start a new account:

  1. Go to the QuickBooks homepage and choose your subscription.
  2. Follow the prompts to finish creating the account.

Here's more information about purging your data and starting over with your account: Delete your data and start over in QuickBooks Online.

Check out this guide to help you get started with your new account: Get started with QuickBooks Online

I’ll be around to help if you need further assistance in getting started with your new account. I'm always glad to help in any way I can. Have a great rest of the day!

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate it.

I'm currently on my second month, making it less than 60 days. I tried purging but I do not get an option to do so.

@GN11

You are unable to purge QBO Simple Start. Open a new account and cancel the old one.
