Have assigned classes to invoice transactions for each line item using the create invoice window however when i view or print the invoice the class is not shown either for the invoice or the line item. How do I resolve this issue. I am using Quickbooks Online.

Hello there, Eze. I'll share some information about printing an invoice with the class in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I appreciate you sharing details of your concern. Currently, the option to include class when printing an invoice is unavailable. As a workaround, you can use the Description field of line items to indicate which class they will be assigned to. Here's how:

  1. Select the Sales menu and choose Invoices.
  2. From there, look for the invoice you need to print and open it.
  3. Once opened, enter the information (class name) in the Description field of each item.
  4. Click Save and select the Print or Preview button to print the invoice.

For reference, check out this article: Email or print multiple sales forms in QuickBooks Online.

That said, I recommend sending feedback to our product developer to request the addition of this ability. Our engineers constantly work to improve and add new features to the program to meet our customer's needs and optimize their navigation experience. They frequently review the insights in this forum to see what functions are most needed by users. Let me guide you on how:

  1. In your QBO account, navigate to the Gear icon.
  2. Next, select the Feedback option.
  3. From there, enter the details of your product comments, suggestions, and requests.
  4. Then, click Next to submit.

I'm always here ready to lend a hand if you have other concerns managing your invoices. Have a good one and stay safe.
