Hi,

Is there a way to tag a Journal Entry to a specific Name?

I understand that there is a portion in the journal entry where in you indicate the name of supplier or customer, however when we check the "Transaction Journal" - Name is not indicated in the transaction.

You may refer to the attached screenshot for reference.

Is there a way to do this? Or am I doing something different?

Thank you!

Hi @Koizumi008.

I know how much you want to tag a journal entry with a specific name. I can share a few details about the transaction journal.

The name you enter on the journal entry is intended for the specific line of the entry. That said, this won't show up on the reports as it doesn't represent the name of the transaction. For example, the name will appear when you're pulling up invoices, bills, and sales receipts..

I also find your idea practical and make reporting more effective. In the meantime, I suggest sending your feedback in QuickBooks Online. With this, our product developers will know that this is important to your business reporting. Simply click the Gear icon on the top right and then select Feedback to enter your product suggestion.
