Wages Journal Query

Hi,

I have a journal created for recording wages, I record each employee's Gross pay and employer tax. then I record the following:

voluntary deductions

Employee Tax's

Net wages

The employee's gross pay and Employer tax are the same figure each week but the other deductions change and as a result both sides of the bottom line do not match, what can I do to make the figures match?
