We have a 1099 vendor that does repairs for us and have requested that we separate their labor and parts on their 1099 for 2024. It was all lumped together under repairs and maintenance for 2023.

I set up a separate account for labor for them going forward.

Will that show up as a separate amount on their 1099 by doing it that way?

Greetings, lady. Yes, it will show up as separate amounts on their 1099 forms.

Generally, setting up separate accounts for your vendors will result in separate amounts appearing in their 1099 Forms. However, if these accounts have accumulated in one section or box in the form, we may not have the option to separate their associated amounts. The entries reflected should be the totals for the accounts.
