1099-MISC shows as "Accepted" Jan 23rd and mailed but my contractor did not receive it. Has anyone else had a problem with form 1099 not being mailed to the recipient?

Hey there, cochairchera. Let me share some information regarding on 1099-MISC. 

Your 1099 forms will be prepared and mailed to your contractors by January 31 if you electronically file them by January 28 at 5:00 PM PT. Your vendors or contractors will receive the data you submit on your forms without any issues if it is accurate. Kindly note that it will require 7–10 business days from the date of mailing or postmark. However, this depends on certain factors such as the United States Postal Service (USPS).  

If it was not received within this timeframe, you can print a copy of their 1099 and manually send it to them. Here's how: 

1. Go to the Taxes menu located at the left navigation panel. 
2. Click 1099 filings. 
3. Press the View 1099 option for you to view and print the PDF copy.
