2021 Desktop "Add Job" no longer available - option grayed out

Intuit is really pushing hard for all of us to renew earlier than necessary! Encountering 3rd issue in as many weeks- the last update was terrible and took away functionality early from those of us still using our 2021 software until May 31.

Newest issue- Right clicking on a customer no longer allows you to "Add Job" The choice is "greyed out".

DOES ANYONE HAVE A WORK AROUND?

 

Really Intuit? I should receive my money back for 2021 as you aren't supporting your product like it says in your agreement. 

I think I need to be done with Intuit and learn a new program that isn't so greedy with foreigners assigned to US customer service.

QuickBooks Desktop 2021 features should be working before May 31, 2024, even without upgrading to QuickBooks 2024. Add Job feature not working is an unusual behavior. That said, let's ensure you have installed all the features and product improvements to ensure your QuickBooks Desktop is up to date.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Close your company files and QuickBooks.
  2. Open the Windows Start menu.
  3. Search for QuickBooks Desktop.
  4. Right-click the icon and select Run as administrator.
  5. While on the No Company Open screen, go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  6. In the Options tab, choose Mark All and Save.
  7. Mark the Reset Update box in the Update Now tab.
  8. Click the Get Updates button.
  9. Once the Update Complete appears, close and re-open the program.
  10. If you get the message to install an update, select Yes. Restart your computer after the installation.
