Question

All ready frustrated with Quicbooks after a couple days. The Time tab is giving me an error and no suggestions. I need this to work now or have support to get it fixed.

Never had issues with VantagePoint.  The fact it gives me an error with no suggestions on how to fix it is ridiculous.  A company of this size and usage should have live support 24/7.  I'm getting an error of "Something wnet wrong" when just clicking on the Time tab.  I haven't entered time before.  I've changed browsers and same problem.

You'll want to ensure that your time-tracking feature is enabled. This option to track and bill customers for the number of hours spent on a project or activity. Follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to Time.
  2. Choose if you want basic time tracking in QuickBooks Online or if you want to try a QuickBooks Time account with more time tracking features. Either way, you can access timesheets from QuickBooks Online. 
  3. Pick Get Started.

 

Then, you can proceed to adjust your time-tracking preferences. If you have done these steps before, I suggest accessing your account in a private browser. It is to see if it is a browser issue. Please refer to the following keyboard shortcuts based on your browser type:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If the private browsing session works, clear the browser's cache so the system can restart. This task is also possible in other supported, up-to-date browsers. Clearing the cache will reboot the system, allowing you to work with clearing the cache. It will also help you remove junk files that slow down your work.

When I click on Time, it gives me the error.  I don't have any options when I click on it.

As the issue continues to persist, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Support experts. They can access your account and conduct a thorough investigation into this matter.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select the Search tab.
  3. Press Contact Us at the bottom part. 
  4. Enter your concern in the What can we help you with? box.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Select Chat with us or Have us call you.
