Can I have an access to Accountant's Copy (generated in QBD 2023 Enterprise Full version) if I am using QBD 2023 Enterprise in Trial Mode ?

Hi

This is what I can see when I open QBD Enterprise Solution 23.0 (Trial Version). There is no option to convert the Accountant's Copy File (QBX) to QBA or QBW (see Screenshot 2 ).

Can you please provide step-by-step guidance on how to convert QBX file to QBA or QBW file using QBD Enterprise Solution 23.0 (Trial Version)?

@Farrukh Ibragimov

You only have 2 options:
1. Purchase a new license of QB Desktop 2023 Enterprise Accountant edition
2. Ask your client to create a backup file (*.qbb) and you can restore it on your trial license for QB Desktop 2023 Enterprise. Ask your client not to access their file until you have completed the work. You will need a workaround to use the trial license for more than 30 days.

You need to use QB Desktop 2023 Enterprise Accountant to do so. You can buy the license for single user through partners if required.

I can share some information about accessing an accountant's copy, Farrukh.

Yes, you can access the Accountant's Copy using the trial version of QuickBooks. If you have received a file coming from a QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2023, then you can access it using QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Accountant Edition 2022 or 2023. For more information about the limitations of using the Accountant's Copy, refer to the following article: Use the Accountant's Copy

From here, you can access and open the file to create a working file (.QBA). After making changes to the file, export the Accountant's Changes (.QBY). Refer to this article for detailed guidance: Use an Accountant's Copy working file in QuickBooks Desktop

You can share the following resource with your client to learn how to import and add corrections to their accounts: Import your accountant's changes into your company file in QuickBooks Desktop.

Let me know if you need further information about the accountant's copy. I'm always here to assist. Have a wonderful day!

Thanks a lot for your prompt response MJoy_D.

Can you please provide the link for the trial version of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Accountant Edition 2022 or 2023.

I am now using QBD Enterprise Solution 23.0, but as I do understand I need to install QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Accountant Edition 2022 or 2023, so I can open the Account's Copy file (.qbx format) which was generated in QBD 2023 Enterprise ( Full Version). Please confirm, if I understand it correctly.
