Android app slow and broken April and May 2025

Is anyone else experiencing crashing problems with the Android application the last few days? Nothing has changed on my Pixel 8a phone, and networks are responsive to other apps. The QB Today page is slow to load, refuses to scroll, and reloads without a prompt. The Menu page simply comes up blank. The app becomes unresponsive enough for the OS to ask if you want to kill it. I'm going to try a reinstall, but I'm not optimistic. Looks like a flaw in a new feature.

To address the slow performance you're experiencing, I suggest regularly checking for updates and installing them as they become available. This can help ensure that you have access to the latest features and performance improvements. Follow these steps to refresh your data and clear the app's cache:

 

  1. Go to Menu ☰, then tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Tap Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Tap YES to confirm.

 

A simple restart of your device can also clear temporary glitches and resolve unexpected issues. It's also worth noting that if your device is running low on storage, it can affect app performance. You can delete unused apps or media files to free up space.
