App keeps logging out + Not tracking milage

The QB app keeps logging me out after not using it for a few days, resulting in it not tracking mileage. This is a major problem as now I'm having to go back through and check all my milage... Any way to fix this? From the app logging me out? Or if it does, how it can keep tracking my mileage?

Welcome to the Community space, @clawrence1.

Let me outline the steps to accomplish the task of tracking the mileage in the QuickBooks Online (QBO) App.

To start, QuickBooks will automatically log you out of the app once it detects that you are inactive. To prevent this, you can check the time until you which can stay logged in by using a web browser. Here's how:

  1. At the gear icon click Account and settings.
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. Scroll up and click other preferences to modify the Sign me out if inactive for.
  4. Once okay, select DONE.

However, if the issue persists, one of the causes is the app's data. To isolate this, let's reset it. To get started, please ensure you have a strong internet connection and an updated version of the app to sync the latest data. If your app was not updated to the latest version, please update it.

I also recommend clearing the application data of your QBO app. This process will reset the app to its original state, eliminating any potential issues caused by outdated or corrupted data and ensuring your QBO app functions smoothly. Here's for iOS:

  1. Go to Settings, then select General.
  2. Choose iPhone Storage, then tap the QuickBooks Online app.
  3. Then select Offload App.

You can free up storage space without deleting your app's documents and data. Follow this if you're using an Android:

  1. Proceed to the Home menu or tap the three dots in the right upper right corner.
  2. Tap on Settings.
  3. Select Refresh Data.
  4. Click on Yes.

If following the recommended steps still results in the same error, the best course of action would be to uninstall and then reinstall the app. This can help refresh your app settings. After reinstalling, attempt to edit the date and see if it works this time. At the moment, you can temporarily use the web browser to access your account and complete your QuickBooks task.

Moreover, I don’t want to leave you empty-handed here. I’m adding details about tracking mileage whether it's recording your business miles and vehicle expenses or entering and giving mileage reimbursements to your employees in QuickBooks:

But how do I make sure the app stops logging me out after a few days? It needs to keep me signed in in order to track my milage from my understanding.
