Question

Appearing to be a glitch, dozens or more old transactions downloaded today in error. Did anyone else have this happen?

Per usual, I clicked the sync button in my QB online version and transactions dating back to 2020 downloaded.

I know how important it is to show the correct transactions in your bank feeds, Kussery.

Before anything else, I'd like to ask a few questions. Did you receive any error messages? If possible, could you please provide me with a screenshot? Additionally, what bank are you referring to? With the additional context, I'll be able to explore potential solutions to address your issues concerns.

Meanwhile, let's check your bank website to see if there are messages, notifications, or alerts. There may be connection/maintenance issues on their end.

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Check your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  3. Look for any display issues as you navigate the website. These can block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.
  4. Check your bank's website for any announcements about new security requirements.

On the other hand, please know QuickBooks will prevent previously downloaded transactions from reappearing in the bank feed after they have been accepted or excluded.

To ensure that the wrong transactions will not be downloaded again, you can exclude them instead of deleting them.

Moreover, after categorizing and ensuring all transactions are matched, you can start reconciling your QuickBooks account. This will ensure that all financial records are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

You can reply to this thread for further clarification regarding bank transactions. I'd also appreciate more details of your concerns. I'm always here to back you up.
