Bank Register Settings Not Memorized

Bank Register Settings Not Memorized

Chart of Accounts -> Bank Register -> Settings

When put a check mark by any of these:

Memo
Reconcile Status
Banking Status
Attachments
Running Balance
Show in one line
Paper Ledger Mode
Compact

The next time I log in I have to check them all over again (really 😟).

How do I make them stay checked or memorize my settings?

I recognize the need to memorize bank register settings on your account, staugustinehouseplans. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to allow filtered data columns to stay checked the next time you log in.

Sometimes a browser is loaded with frequently accessed pages, which can cause interruptions within the program. We can perform some troubleshooting steps to help rectify the possibility of a webpage issue. You'll need to access your account in a private browser to ensure the program runs seamlessly without storing cached data. You may use these keyboard shortcuts:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

If this information is populating successfully, you may go back to your default browser and clear its cache or use a different supported browser.

Moreover, you'll want to review and manage your transactions to ensure you're ready when reconciling your account. This way, your books are accurate and balanced.

Google Chrome cache has been cleared and cookies removed, and the register settings are still not memorizing. The other browser I use to use was Microsoft Edge, but that browser just stopped loading QuickBooks altogether.

I appreciate you for following the suggested troubleshooting steps, blabal123. Let's explore some alternative solutions to help you maintain your preferred settings in the bank register.

Please note that QuickBooks is designed to remember the most recent layout and settings you've applied to your bank register. This feature aims to provide consistency and convenience in your workflow.

In addition to clearing your browser's cache, you can also add Intuit as a trusted site. Then, use these versions of compatible web browsers when accessing QuickBooks Online to ensure optimal performance:

Regarding the issue of the software not loading entirely when switching to Microsoft Edge, this happens when you have multiple browser tabs open that are accessing QuickBooks Online simultaneously. You can read more details about this here: QuickBooks Online doesn't load correctly or has blank pages.

To prevent this, please close all other tabs and use only one tab to access the platform.

Next, sign in again and verify that your bank register settings remain intact.
