Barcode Printing

I am using QuickBooks Enterprise:Solution: Professional Services 23.0 hosted locally in an on-premise server and accessed via remote desktop. I am trying to print out multiple Barcode Labels from QuickBooks on my Laptop to a Zebra ZD421 printer via USB connection but it doesn't seem to work and doesn't even show any errors. I am only able to Print single Labels but when I select multiple Labels to print, it shows the progressive bar for print but nothing comes out and doesn't even show on the print Jobs. I am using Windows 10 so I tried reinstalling the updated driver but still the same. On a few occassions it showed in the print job but the status is stuck in pause. I tried restarting the print job several times but nothing happens. I will now try to setup on a Windows 11 PC and try printing again but please advise how I can resolve this issue. Refer attached for pickture of my setup.

Thank you for visiting the Community, @QED-IT.

I appreciate you laying out the details of your concern and attaching an additional screenshot to help us get on the same page with the barcode printing issue in QuickBooks Desktop. Please know that we value your ideas, and this isn't the kind of service we want you to experience.

Currently, we're unable to print multiple labels. You'll want to consider using a third-party app by checking our Apps Center to pick one that matches your needs.

Here's how:

  1. From your browser, enter this link: Apps for QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Then, enter a keyword in the Search field or use the Filters section to narrow down the process.
  3. This action will display a list of apps.
  4. Click on the View Profile button to see more details about the software.

Also, visit our Firm of the Future to check the recent happenings and future developments, such as updates to newly added features.

I've got this helpful article to help you with printing errors and issues: Troubleshoot tag printer issues.

Please don't hesitate to get back to this thread if there's anything else you need help with printing concerns. I'll do my best to help you out. Keep safe.

Hi team,

Thanks for the response. I've already downloaded ERP Lite from the Apps Centre to install and test but I just have one question. According to your reply, you stated that currently, you're unable to print multiple labels. Please state the reason so I can understand and at least give feedback to my team. Also, is that statement referring to printing multiple different Barcode Labels or multiple copies of the same Barcode label?

Thanks for coming back, 0c9b6bf4a7d1.

If you are referring to printing multiple copies of the barcodes of your items directly from the Print Forms section on the File menu. See the screenshots below:

Just follow the steps below to help you accomplish this:

  1. Go to File.
  2. Select Print Forms.
  3. Choose Labels.
  4. Under Item Barcodes, select the item with the barcode you wanted to print.
  5. Hit OK.
  6. Enter the number of copies you wanted to print.
  7. Click Print.

See this article for more insights about how you can utilize the barcodes in QuickBooks: Set Up and Use Barcode Scanning in QuickBooks Desktop. Also, we can also print labels for your inventory items as long as you're using QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise with Advanced Inventory. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Print Forms from the File menu, then Label.
  2. On the Select Labels to Print page, select Item Barcodes, then choose the items you want to include or click All items if you wish to add all items.
  3. Tap OK.
  4. Choose the label format and add a number of copies under the Print Labels page.
  5. Hit Print.
