Broken Invoices

I've contacted QBO team and solved this issue before. My business is a service based business, my clients contact me to perform sampling etc. When I'm finished I generate a report and prepare an invoice based on what service I provided. I do not provide or care about "estimates."
My issue is when preparing an invoice, I use the first line of the invoice to provide an overview of the service provided, the clients project number if any and date(s) of the service.
I then add an empty line with no information to separate the overview from the actual listing of services and products provided with quantities and unit costs.
The problem is why do zero's show when no product or service is selected and also on an added line? QBO team solved this once before the "update" to the ever changing QBO program (ongoing beta). I tried the online chat feature but what I got was a to bad so sad reply and a link to useless information about turning an estimate into an invoice article.
