Yes, you can revise your W-2 before printing and filing, boyle. I'm here to help you out.

Beforehand, this is the list of the things that cannot be fixed in your W-2 forms:

  • Employee prefixes (Mr., Mrs., etc.)
  • Employee address
  • Business Name
  • Business address

In QuickBooks, W-2 corrections depend on your automated taxes and forms settings.

If automated taxes and forms are disabled, we can:

  1. Fix the issue or add the necessary adjustments.
  2. File your W-2 forms as per usual.

However, if it isn't, I recommend contacting our payroll support team to request a correction. They can further assist and file a W-2c form with the SSA. The support team will inform you about the estimated timeline for receiving the W-2c and W-3c.

Here's how you can contact us:

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern, then click Let's talk.
  4. Choose a way to connect with us:
  • Start a chat with a support expert.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert.
