Can I send electronic vendor payments through quickbooks online?

As e-transfers and direct deposits are becoming more common, was wondering if QBO had an option to do that

You're in the right place, lisatbookkeeping. I can help you send electronic payments to vendors in QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

 

QBO works together with Online Bill Pay to let you:

 

  • Pay bills electronically within QuickBooks Online.
  • Pay vendor bills directly from within QuickBooks Online with ACH (bank transfer) or a paper check.
  • Record payment transactions accurately and automatically in QuickBooks Online

 

To get started, you need to sign up for Online Bill Pay by following these steps.

 

  1. Open QuickBooks, then go to the Apps menu.
  2. In the search field, search Bill Pay.
  3. Choose Bill Pay for the QuickBooks Online app card.
  4. In the app card, hit Learn more.
  5. Once on the Learn More page for Online Bill Pay, select Get Started.
  6. Enter your company information, then Next.
  7. Now, follow the prompts to connect your bank account, then hit Next.
  8. Enter your personal information, then Next.
  9. Lastly, answer a few identities check questions. If you have issues with this process or are declined during the identity check process, contact Intuit's Care Support.

Although there is no monthly subscription fee for this service, you will be charged a transaction fee for each payment you process.

Is the Online Bill Payment still valid?  I cannot find the Bill Pay for QuickBooks Online app.

QuickBooks Online Bill Payment is still valid for the QuickBooks Online App, shunt3524. Let's review the process to get started.

 

To view the Bill Pay option in your QuickBooks Online app, you'll need to subscribe to QuickBooks Bill Pay first. Once you already have your subscription, you can set it up in your mobile app and use it to pay your bills. You can check out this article to view its plans and pricing and choose the subscription that suits to your needs: QuickBooks Bill Pay plans

 

After subscribing, find the Bill Pay option by navigating through the Hamburger icon or Menu. Afterward, you can now set up your payment methods.

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Hamburger icon and choose Bill Pay
  2. Click the Gear icon. 
  3. From the Payment Methods section, press the Add this method for either Bank account, Credit Card, or Debit card option.
  4. Follow the onscreen process.
  5. Once done, click the Payment Account in QuickBooks dropdown.
  6. Press the QuickBooks account you want to sync with the payment activity. You can also click the +Add this as a new payment account in QuickBooks if you can't see your preferred account.
