Can I turn off Quickbooks asking if I want to make changes to past and future transactions?

This is causing problems. I don't know why this would even be an option. This question comes up when you save a customer or vendor transaction. No I do not want to change past and future transactions. Past transactions are part of my customer's history. Past transactions should never be mass changed. How do I make this question go away?

To stop QuickBooks from updating names based on changes you make on transactions, change the preferences for this.

 

On the QB menu, select Edit | Preferences | General | Company Preferences and then enable the option Never update name information when saving transactions.
