Can Quickbooks Enterprise Gold be used in multi location Automotive Repair shops. Is it capable of tracking

mileage on vehicles? Can invoices be customized for auto repair, and if so do you have an example?

You should consider hosting your QB Desktop Enterprise on the cloud. You can subscribe thru a selected partner to get a perpetual discounts on renewals.

Plus: You can customize invoices more easily

Minus: You have to log the mileage manually in each Job/Customer.

 

Another option, QB Online Plus or Advanced

Plus: You can use a 3rd party auto repair shop management app to integrate with QBO

Minus: Higher cost than QB Desktop

Yes, QuickBooks Enterprise Gold provides multi-location inventory tracking, mileage tracking for vehicles, and customizing invoices.

 

Let's begin with turning on multi-location inventory: 

 

1. Ensure that you are in single-user mode.

    a. Go to File, then select Single-user Mode. 

2. Go to Edit, then click Preferences. 

3. On the left side of the page, click Items & Inventory and choose Company Preferences. 

4. Tick Inventory and purchase orders are active, then hit the Advanced Inventory Settings button. 

5. A new page will pop up, tick Multiple Inventory Sites is enabled. Another page will show and it will ask you to enter an inventory site name.

6. Hit Continue.
