Hello there, hertstreesurgeon,

I'll be providing troubleshooting steps to ensure you can search addresses in QuickBooks Online smoothly. Before that, let me provide first the different ways how you can quickly search addresses within the program.

To begin, use the Magnifying Glass next to the Bell icon to look for addresses.

Here's how:

  1. Choose the Magnifying Glass.
  2. Enter the address you’re looking for, then select the desired transaction.
  3. If the address you're looking for does not appear on the results list, select Advanced Search.

You can also look for addresses in the Customers and Vendors section.

You can refer to this article on how to perform the process: Search for transactions in QuickBooks Online.

If you are still unable to search addresses using the methods indicated above, I also recommend opening your QBO account in a private browser. Then, search addresses from there. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue that might cause you to display an incorrect company name in your report.

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If it works in incognito, you'll have to clear the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above don't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.

In case you need different guidelines on how you can effectively manage your business using QBO, you can read this article:  Help guides for QuickBooks Online. It contains topics about advanced accounting, banking, and payments to name a few.

Please let me know if you have further questions or concerns about managing addresses in QBO. I'm always here to help, hertstreesurgeon. Have a good one!
