Good day, @marsha002.

As of the moment, there's isn't an option to customize and move the Mailing Address box of your check transactions. The steps above can only be applied to your sales transactions such as Invoice, Sales Receipt, and Estimates.

But don't worry, I'll pass along your request to our product developers. This way, they'll consider adding an option to customize the template for your check transactions.

Additionally, you can also visit our QuickBooks Online Blog regularly. From there, you'll be updated with the new features and enhancements that our developers are currently working on.

Hi there, @Costman99.

Thank you for posting in the Community. I'd be happy to help share some insights on how you can adjust the mailing address on checks to fit on the window envelopes.

You can edit the custom set up in your forms for window envelopes. Let me show you how:

  1. At the top right, click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Fund the form and click Edit under the ACTION column.
  4. Choose the Design tab and select Edit Print Settings.
  5. Under Page margins put a check on the box next to Fit printed form with paystub in window envelope
  6. Hit Done at the bottom of the page.

For additional reference, I've also included an article and screenshot for you: How to print forms for window envelopes.

If you need to reach out for more help, feel free to contact our Customer Care support for assistance.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. At the top right, click the Help icon.
  3. At the bottom, click Contact Us.

That should get you pointed in the right direction.

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions about how to lower down the mailing address on checks. I'll be happy to help you out. Wishing you and your business success.

After seeing all the inquiries from users and all the lame responses from the Quickbooks reps, it seems clear that they have no intention at all of making it possible to lower the address. They'd rather make you buy window envelopes from them. Pretty typical customer support from this company in my experience.

i AM using Intuit envelopes... the problem still exists!  I'm trying envelopes from other vendors.  Next: the software from other vendors.

The easiest DIY solution to this is to go to your Vendors and go down to their Mailing Address.  Enter a "blank line" above their Name so that it lowers the entire Mailing Address one line and has a blank line now for the top line.

It is a bit time consuming and pretty stupid for a fix that an IT guy at QB could probably fix in a few minutes.  But its a heck of a lot better than taping or hunting down weird shaped window envelopes.
