I acknowledge the troubleshooting steps you've taken, Sureshot, and I appreciate your efforts. I will provide additional details on the matter to ensure you can proceed.

Upon checking here, I found out that there's an ongoing investigation (INV-105728) where some categories are missing or not displaying as expected when using the QuickBooks IOS mobile app.

If you're using iOS, I recommend contacting our customer care support team to be added to the list of affected users. I understand that you've already reached out to them and invested significant time fixing this, but this process will ensure that you receive prompt updates on the investigation.

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. In your mobile app, go to the Menu.
  2. Click the Help icon and press ALL.
  3. Choose the Ask QB assistant a question option. Select Contact Us.
  4. Set a specific topic or Ask about something else. Type in a short description in the box provided.
  5. Pick Continue, then hit the Callback option.

In the meantime, you can re-add the category using the mobile app or open your account through your web browser to move forward.

On the other hand, if you're using the Android mobile app, ensure it's updated. Let's refresh the application to isolate the issue. This process is similar to clearing the cache on your web browser. You can follow these steps:

  1. Proceed to the Home menu or tap the three dots in the right upper right corner.
  2. Tap on Settings, then select Refresh Data.
  3. Press Yes.

For future use, you can conveniently use your mobile device to take pictures of your receipts and then upload them for record-keeping and tracking purposes.

Rest assured that you can actively work on your tasks with all the information, troubleshooting steps, and workaround provided. Feel free to add follow-up questions below. I'm still here to help.
