Change Default week for recording time

Intro: This is a question related to Time entry HOWEVER, I do not use the QB Time service. I just enter time records into standard QB Online.

 

Question: Is it possible to change the default setting for the week displayed when entering time? See the screen shots below. When I go to enter a time record, QB defaults to Last Week. Since I want to enter current time records, I always have to change to This week.

 

My question: Is there a way to set This week to be the default? I can't find a setting anywhere. It doesn't make sense for me to enter time for last week when I am working in this week. Best would be to have it default to the current date.

 

I have searched for this answer and spent fruitless time on chat but can't get an answer.

I recognize the significance of modifying the QuickBooks Online time entry default week, @Saff. Let me provide some insights about it.

 

Currently, the option to default the current week is unavailable in QBO. Thus, you'll need to manually do it by selecting the This week option from the drop-down.

Dear QB Team - Please fix this!  It's a pain to have to always change it from the prior week and leads to rework and inefficiency.... which, come on, we know that's not the QB/QBO way!

I see how beneficial it is for your business to have the option to default to the current week rather than manually entering it. However, as provided by my colleague above, this feature is currently unavailable.

 

I recommend submitting this feedback to our Product Development Team. They might consider this idea for future product improvements. Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Enter your feedback Suggestion.
  3. Press Next.
