Changing corporate identity

Hello all,

 

Our company is looking at transitioning from a public company to a privately-held company.  Has anyone out there gone through this process and can you recommend a checklist of all the steps that need to be taken to carry this out?

If you're truly a public company, there's no one here that can give you advice on that and, if they did, you shouldn't listen to it.  You should have a board of directors and qualified CPAs to answer that.  This is a QB user forum.

Thank you for your feedback.  You are correct that our board of directors, legal counsel, accountants, etc., will handle the transition.  I was looking more for a checklist of things along the lines of sending out new W-9s, sending letters to vendors, etc., more the simple mechanics that would be handled in-house.  We will check with our accountants.
