Chart of Accounts

Balance sheet accounts have a register.  Profit & Loss accounts don't.

Yes, there is a way to determine which categories have a "View Register" in the Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

Typically, accounts that appear on the Balance Sheet have this option available to them. These types of accounts are generally associated with assets, liabilities, or equity.
