We understand the inconvenience that the class feature issue has caused you, Anastasia9. I'll address this matter promptly to ensure this option functions properly.
We have a reported case (INV-94624) where the parent class is missing from the list when assigning sub-classes in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Rest assured that this occurrence is currently being worked on with utmost urgency.
As a workaround, you can temporarily change the name of the parent class to a lower number for it to show from the dropdown list when making a sub-class and change it back after.
Since you're one of the affected, let's contact our Customer Care team. They can add your account to the list of affected users. This ensures you're in the loop about the investigation's status and its fix. To do this, here's how:
- Sign in to your QBO company.
- Go to the Help (?) menu.
- Select the Search tab.
- Click the Contact Us button.
- Enter a brief description of your concern in the What can we help you with? field.
- Select Continue.
- Choose a way to connect with us (Chat or Callback).
Once this matter is resolved, you can also check out this article to further guide you in assigning classes to your transactions in QBO: Track your transactions by class in QuickBooks Online.
We appreciate your patience. If there's anything else you need or you have other time-tracking concerns, please let me know in the comments below. I'll be here ready to help you out.
