Convenience Fee Invoice

I'm wondering if someone can help me as I've exhausted all other avenues.  I have created Invoice templates and I'm trying to pass along the credit card fee to the client.  As directed in the help section, I created a Processing Fee under Products and Services and gave it a rate of .03.   Is there a way to add the fee to the template without having to manually add it to each invoice since that sort of defeats the purpose.

How do you guys add processing fees?  I would really appreciate your input and advice.  Please note, I'm a novice at QB so you may have to "dumb it down".  Thanks!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, @LTYD. Let me share some information on customizing your invoice.

Currently, the feature of adding the credit card fee directly to a template is unavailable. We can only add the fee by including it as a line item on every invoice.

However, it will be a great feature to add to QuickBooks Online. I suggest that we send feedback to our Product Engineers.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Profile.
  3. Select Feedback.
  4. Provide the necessary information.
  5. Click Next.

Also, if you really want to add the credit card fee to the invoice. I suggest using a third-party app to customize your invoice.

Just follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Left panel
  2. Select Apps.
  3. Find a third-party app that suits your business.

Moreover, I'd like to share these articles that can help you manage your QuickBooks Online:

I'll be here to assist you if you still have questions about your credit card fee. Have a lovely day and take care!

@LTYD

Consider having a 3rd party payment processor to integrate with QBO.

our clients use something called Billment and it automates all of this in QBO
