Question

Creating and editing invoices in QB Desktop for Mac.

After years of using QB, I now cannot create new invoices without memorizing them, and then I cannot edit memorized invoices.  I only get a message that the operation cannot be completed and there is no further information about it.  Also I constantly get a message that I'm in View only mode, and I need to renew my subscription.  I am using desktop version for Mac.  Getting to be the point that I'm ready to ditch the QB and look for entirely different solution.

Which QB Desktop year version do have?

Can you login to CAMPS and find your license code there?

The QuickBooks subscription you're using has already been expired, rmg05. I can see how managing your overall workflow ensures coherent business operations, and I'm here to further discus information about this matter.

Beforehand, may I know what specific desktop version you're currently using? Any additional information would be much appreciated.

In QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, View-only mode in your account remains for only one (1) year access after your subscription ends. During this time, you're unable to create and modify transactions with your inactive license. However, you can renew your file or consider exporting your data.

If you wish to renew your subscription, you can do so by contacting us directly. Please refer to the contact number provided in the article: Renew your subscription or use view-only mode in QuickBooks Desktop.

I'll also include this article as a guide to managing your subscription with the Customer Account Maintenance Portal (CAMPs): Manage your QuickBooks Desktop subscriptions and services.

Your feedback and additional queries when managing transaction are always welcome on this thread. Just leave your replies below, and we'll make sure to assist you further. Stay safe.

My subscription has not expired.  I have gotten multiple messages that it has, and then randomly "re-subscribe" and then it would work, but it still doesn't help with creating new invoices or updating existing ones without having to memorize them first.  The version I'm running is V23.1.6 R7.

Install the trial version of QB Desktop 2024 to isolate the problem. Did you encounter the same issue?
