Credit Card Dates Change After Entry On QB for Mac

I'm entering credit card charges from 2023 on QB2024 for Mac. When I enter the correct date and tab out of the date field the date arbitrarily changes to another date. I can not figure out why and have looked at my date formats to ensure there is no issue. It's not consistent across all entries and is very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, @Scottman.

I'd be glad to share with you some troubleshooting steps to help rectify the issue and record your credit card charges. To start with, let's run the Verify and Rebuild tools to find the most common data issues in your company file and fix them.

Here's how to verify your company file data:

  1. Go to the File menu, then select Utilities.
  2. Click Verify Data and select OK to close all windows. If you see “Your data has failed the integrity check” you need to rebuild your file.

Once you've verified your data, you can rebuild your company file to address any errors or data damage that's been identified. Simply follow the instructions in the "How to rebuild your company file data" section for further guidance: Verify and rebuild data in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

Before you begin, be sure to backup your company file.

If you have any additional questions about recording credit card charges in QuickBooks for Mac, feel free to ask in this thread. I'm here to help you further.

Reymond,

Thanks for the quick response. I ran the verification with no errors found. A rebuild was not done. I then entered more data and found the problem remains.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks, again.
