Why is QB letting in fraudulent payments?

Credit cards that don't match the card holders name/address.

How do I increase my security features to decline any suspicious purchases?

How can I decline purchases before they get approved and I receive a transaction fee + Chargeback Fee?

  2. Click the Help option in the upper-right corner.
  3. Enter the necessary information and click Continue.

In the case that Intuit does allow a fraud payment to go through and we ship our product, how are we protected?  I am considering just using PayPal, because I can't find a real answer to my question.

    @MaryJo713   There are NO guarantees of your safety against fraud/ scammers, especially when using anything Intuit/ QB. You will be out the money AND the product because QB will NOT support you, or any of it's customers.  

     

    You can use the Search bar at the top of the page to find MANY Intuit/ QB customers that have lost hundreds, if not thousands, to fraud/ scammers.  

     

    Do yourself and your company a favor and find a better, safer, more secure way to do things.  You'll be better off.

      Our settings were set not to allow any mismatched information on our desktop pos v20 and we had approximately 40,000.00 of fraudulent charges over a 3 week period to n February of 2022.  We were not notified of any fraudulent attempts or mismatches and no flags were triggered on the account. We did not get notification other than that the payment were being disputed by customers AFTER the fact. Our settings were allowed to override the system manually. WHY?

      I don’t have a crunch fitness account and they charge me $122 today

      If you want to confirm whether the charges on your account are from Intuit or QuickBooks, you can use the Look up a charge  tool to search for a charge in any of the QuickBooks products, such as QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Enterprise, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Self-Employed, QuickBooks Online Payroll, QuickBooks Time, and QuickBooks Checks & Supplies.

       

      In case you find out that the charges are not from Intuit, it means that they are not from QuickBooks. In such a scenario, I recommend that you reach out to your bank and Crunch Fitness support to inquire about the charges and ask for assistance in resolving the issue. They have the necessary tools and expertise to guide you on how to proceed and resolve your concern.

      How do you re-coop the credit card fee on a fraud charge? I know how to reverse the purchase charge but how do you get back the fees so that we are not responsible?

      Our QuickBooks Payments department in coordination with your financial institution will further investigate this fraud charge. Then, our Payments team will check if they have the option to waive the fees that are used on this transaction.

       

      You'll need to contact our Payments Support Team so they can begin processing your retrieval request. They will provide you with the necessary steps to take.

       

      Here's how to contact them through QuickBooks Online (QBO):

       

      1. Sign in to your QBO company.
      2. Click on the Help (?) icon at the top right of the page.
      3. Select Search and click Contact Us.
      4. Select Customer and Vendor Payments.
      5. Choose a way to connect with us:
      • Start a Chat with us.
      • Get a Callback from the available expert.

       

      The Support Team is available from M-F, 6 AM to 6 PM PT.

      QUICKBOOKS WILL NOT BACK YOU UP!!!

       

      I recently had someone order material from me.  We sent them the invoice through Quickbooks Intuit software and CC'd ourselves.  Customer paid with a credit card.  A week after delivery was made, the customer disputed the charges.  We uploaded all the evidence requested by Quickbooks Resolution Center including POD, Photos of the material being loaded onto customer's trucking, along with a copy of the email sent to the customer requesting payment.  We figured we would be covered this way.  Turns out we were wrong.

       

      Quickbooks sent us an email a week later stating that a decision had been reached in favor of the Card Issuer (meaning: my customers credit card company).  Quickbooks WILL NOT give any information as to why the decision was reached in their favor.  They also WILL NOT give us any information on who the credit card issuer is so that we may contact them direct.  Furthermore, they refuse any appeal process on the decision made.

       

      Quickbooks DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS.  Their only concern is selling you as many products as possible.  But if something should go awry, you are on your own.  Quickbooks washes their hands of the situation and moves on to the next matter at hand.  Anyone using Quickbooks credit card merchant services should look elsewhere for a better company that will actually back up their customers.
