Credit Card Process Fee

Is there a way to have a process fee automatically when making a sale that would be a certain percentage of the overall bill? For example if someone buys a $10 item can my point of sale automatically add 3% to the bill

I can certainly understand how an ability to automatically add a fee could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

You can also submit your own feature requests on our website.
 

Here's how:

  1. Visit Intuit's Feedback webpage.
  2. In the I want to tell you about section, choose QuickBooks Features.
  3. Use your Here is my suggestion text box to detail the request.
  4. If you'd like to, enter your name in the Name field and specify your email in the E-mail Address field.
  5. Select Submit.

 

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about QuickBooks Point of Sale by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

Congrats on making your first post here in the Community, @CJ Signs. 

 

When making a sale, you can manually adjust the amount due in the Charge field if you need to.

 

Here's how:

  1. Select Credit.
  2. Ask your customer how they want to pay via credit card.
  3. Adjust the amount due if needed.
  4. Select Authorize Now.
  5. Once authorization is complete, select a save option for the receipt.

So there is no way for POS to automatically add it like it does tax to every order?
