customer gave me debit card.  had a limit and asked to use another debit card for balance.  I thought I could but it didn't work.  So a split payment with 2 different debit cards won't work or is there is way?  thank you

Hi rwcjr!

QuickBooks Desktop is designed to take up to three different credit cards on a single transaction. Let me help you in accepting payments.

When making a sale and you're ready to take payments, you can modify the amount to deduct per method. From there, you can enter the amount you want to debit on each card. Then, process it as you normally do.

If you linked your QuickBooks Payments account, you'll want to check this link: Process and take payments in QuickBooks Point of Sale.

If you need more references in using QuickBooks Point of Sale, you'll want to visit this page: Sales and customers.

Keep on posting here and we'll assist you. Take care!
